The villa has both 2 prong and 3 prong plugs. There are no adaptors inside the villa. Here is a wonderful adaptor that I have used without any issues.

Yes. Each bathroom has its own hairdryer. 

There is Wi-Fi at the villa. However, we recommend that everyone have cellular service throughout the trip, as this is how we will communicate when we are out and about. 

Most carriers offer inexpensive international plans, and you may already have international coverage included in your current plan. Please check with your carrier before traveling.

Yes. There is individual temperature control in every room.

Yes. There is a washer and dryer in the Villa for your use.

There will be plenty of food available throughout the day, so you probably won’t go hungry. Any leftovers in the fridge are also yours to enjoy. 

All the water in the house is filtered and safe to drink from the faucet, and coffee and tea are always available.

You are also welcome to select something from the wine cellar at any time. Wine is not included and operates on an honor system. Anything you choose will be added to your bill at the end of the week.

No. There is a wonderful gentleman who will be serving everyone. 

Dinner will be around 7:00 pm each night.  We have a private chef who works with our schedule, and in restaurants we take the first seating. 

Laura will send you a suggested packing list a few months before the trip. Beyond that, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. The dress code is whatever you want it to be.

We will have a professional photographer with us on our final evening to take some beautiful photos, but even then, wear whatever feels like you.

There is never any pressure to dress a certain way.

The pool is open but it is not heated. The hot tub is ready all year round.

Public restrooms exist but are not guaranteed to be found everywhere. They are free, but we would definitely bring euro coins to offer the bars and restaurants for the use of their bathroom … it’s a nice gesture.

Laura has had nothing but great experiences with Hotel David and many guests have stayed there and shared rave reviews. 

For those of you who would like to be closer to the center of town Hotel Balestri is another great choice.

If you would like additional suggestions, we can also connect you with someone who is not affiliated with our trip but is highly knowledgeable about accommodations in Florence.

Every room at the villa is delightful. Rooms will be selected in the order deposits were received. We wait until all final payments have been made before beginning the selection process, in case there are any last-minute changes.

There will be two vans departing Florence at 3:00 p.m.

One van will depart from Florence Airport, and the other will depart from a designated hotel in central Florence.

Both vans will arrive at the villa in time for check-in at 4:30 p.m.

If you’re coming in a few days before the trip begins, the easiest option for private transportation is usually to arrange it through your hotel. They’ll use a driver they know and trust, and they’ll also be there to help if anything changes with your travel plans, such as a delayed flight.

Taxis are also reliable and very easy. There is an official taxi stand right at the airport, and the current set fare between Vespucci Airport and hotels in the historic center is approximately €28–€32.

For those arriving in the morning on our scheduled arrival day, we’d suggest taking a taxi into Florence and enjoying a few hours in the city before we all come together. If you let us know where you’d like to spend your time, we can help find a nearby luggage service so you can wander, have lunch, and start enjoying Florence without dragging your bags along with you.

Another option is to drop your bags at the hotel where our vans will be picking up guests later that day. Once we know where most people are staying, we can reach out and ask whether they would be willing to hold bags for a few hours. That may end up being the most comfortable and seamless option.

Once we have everyone’s travel schedules, you may want to connect with others in the group before reaching out to her, especially if you’d like to explore together.

That said, I would suggest booking sooner rather than later, as her availability may fill up.

Check-out at the villa is at 11:00 a.m.

We will have two vans going directly from the villa to Florence Airport, departing at:

6:00 a.m.
10:00 a.m.
