This quote has been on my mind for the last few months. I've been feeling really out of sorts recently and I have been allowing my mind to run rogue.
Time is moving ever so swiftly and I have more years behind me than ahead, and I was allowing my brain to be hijacked by social media and the internet.
Last week I hit a wall—and it was like a lightning strike that woke me up. Maybe it was the coffee, maybe it was turning my phone screen to greyscale to make it less appealing to my brain, or maybe it was me waking up to the fact that how I spend my days is how I spend my life.
I want to spend my days doing things that truly matter, that can make a difference, that can bring more joy into the world.
So this past week, I would say my average time on social media is 5 minutes a day—where it was creeping up to a solid 60 minutes plus for way too long.
All I know is that this week feels like a week well spent. One that my future self will be proud of.
