I am not great with deep thrillers but I have found my sweet spot with the author Chris Pavone, who strikes the balance between you guessing what really happened till the last page is turned and till being able to sleep at night. The Doorman is currently on my nightstand. It's really good. And the hardback is on sale right now.

But I still think my favorite of his books is Two Nights in Lisbon - I did not see that ending coming at all.
